We have been intensely monitoring up-to-date news on price increases from manufacturers and distributors on pallet stretch wrap pricing. You still have a chance at purchasing pallet wrap at our current pricing as we've just received a container at our older pricing.
Here's a summary of the news online:
- The Middle East is the world's leading exporter of polyethylene - a primary material used in the production of pallet stretch wrap - and the Iran war is putting upward pressure on prices globally.
- As the war escalates, expect to see shortages and longer lead times.
- Our suppliers have already increased prices on us since three weeks ago (7%) and again today (10%).
- Ships with containers of supplies are being delayed at the ports, which explains the lag in lead times that you will soon experience. All of this pushes prices up.
